According to the Media Convergence Center of Shizhong District, Leshan City, the "Western Super Factory" of Zhejiang Dacai Optoelectronic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dacai Optoelectronic") officially commenced production on August 1 in Shizhong District, Leshan City, Sichuan Province. This project constitutes the first phase of the Dacai (Leshan) Southwest Semiconductor New Display Manufacturing Base and focuses primarily on commercial LED displays and related manufacturing operations.
The factory features a main facility spanning approximately 14,000 square meters and is equipped with automated production lines. The first phase of the project focuses on the production of commercial LED display screens and finished products utilizing SMT (Surface Mount Technology), while also incorporating manufacturing processes for Mini LED technology. According to the development plan, the subsequent second phase will involve the construction of high-end COB (Chip-on-Board) production lines, further expanding the company's portfolio of display products.
At the launch ceremony, Dacai Optoelectronics showcased products such as LED splicing screens. Wang Luye, Deputy General Manager of Sichuan Dacai Vision Co., Ltd., explained that these screens—composed of spliced individual modules—represent one of the company's core products.
Establishing a production base in Leshan marks a significant step for Dacai Optoelectronics in optimizing its production capacity layout for its LED display business.
In March of this year, Dacai Optoelectronics signed an agreement with the Shizhong District of Leshan City, planning an investment of 1.8 billion yuan to build the Dacai (Leshan) Southwest Semiconductor New Display Manufacturing Base. The project is positioned as a display industry hub integrating R&D with high-end manufacturing.
Dacai Optoelectronics stated that the launch of the Southwest production base will enable the company to enhance its service capabilities in the regional market and drive the development of supporting infrastructure within the display industry supply chain.
