LG recently announced the official debut of its LUUX outdoor LED display screen, located in the heart of Gwanghwamun, Seoul, which is touted as the largest outdoor LED display screen in South Korea.

The LUUX display screen is 50 meters high and approximately 60 meters wide, with a total area of 3,000 square meters. It surrounds the exterior wall of the Dong-A Ilbo Media Center, forming a J-shaped curved structure that allows content to be displayed in multiple directions simultaneously.

LG states that LUUX is the largest outdoor LED display screen in South Korea. Globally, LUUX surpasses most single-unit LED screens in Times Square, New York, and its size is second only to mega-scale LED displays such as Resorts World in Las Vegas and The Reef in Los Angeles.

It is worth noting that since the South Korean government relaxed regulations at the end of 2023, allowing the installation of LED displays without shape and size restrictions in Gwanghwamun and Myeongdong, two core business districts in Seoul, large-scale LED display installation projects have continued to be launched in these two areas.
