Shenzhen-based LED display manufacturer VW has expanded its outdoor display lineup with a new carbon fiber LED display series engineered for events, touring productions and outdoor advertising. Built on a carbon fiber frame instead of traditional steel or aluminum cabinets, each 600x675x80mm panel weighs only 6.5 kg, while delivering IP65 protection, 7680Hz refresh rate and brightness levels up to 5000 nits. Ultralight Carbon Fiber Frame Cuts Structure and Transport Cost
The most distinctive feature of the new series is its carbon fiber construction. With a density of only 1.5-2g/cm³ - roughly one quarter that of steel and half that of aluminum - the material keeps panel weight down to 6.5 kg per cabinet. For rental and staging companies, this translates into lower freight costs, easier handling on site and reduced load on rigging structures, while the slim 80mm cabinet depth enables compact packing and storage.
Engineered for Hanging up to 40m and Repeated Assembly Cycles
Despite its light weight, the carbon fiber frame offers tensile strength 4 to 5 times greater than steel with 100% elastic recovery and excellent fatigue resistance. As a result, panels can be safely suspended at heights up to 40 meters, making the series suitable for high-level hanging installations at concerts, festivals and large-scale events. The frame also resists acid and corrosion and performs reliably in extreme conditions, from -30°C to +50°C with 10-95% RH operating humidity.
